I thought, for my first "official" review, I would start with a product that I have already purchased prior to starting my blog.
Docrafts Papermania Glitter Markers
I had been looking for some heavy duty, glittery or similar type pens for a while when I noticed that my local Sainsburys store had these in stock. For £5 I thought they were a bargain and bought them.
(They can be purchased from Amazon here)
The pens come in sets of 8, with the standard rainbow colours included. Dark Blue, Light Blue, Red, Green, Yellow, Orange, Pink and Purple. They have a 0.5mm nib, so are good for filling in lines and sections on mandalas. I did find, that the nib was too big for delicate features. This was due to it being a rounded nib and not tapering to a point.
The Papermania Glitter Markers are sold with a "Ultra Shimmery" mark on the packet. I can definitely attest that they do give off a nice shimmery effect. They dry with a glittery surface. The only issue I found with this was that if you happened to rub over the coloured area, the glitter did spread. I would definitely recommend doing this bit last if you were colouring with other media as well. I like to use them for outlines or details when I just fancy adding a bit of a shine to a picture.
Each pen comes with its own ink reservoir. I wouldn't recommend using them to fill in large areas on your colouring due to the ink that would be consumed. If you colour as much as me, you'd be going through a pack of these every month.
Overall, I am really impressed with these pens and the glittery effect that they leave behind - even after they've dried.
Do they bleed through pages: They can be seen from the other side of the paper, but they do not leave a mark (tested on standard A4 white printer paper)
Are they fit for purpose: Yes, definitely
Would I recommend them: Yes
Are they worth the money: Yes
